the wardrobe guide: what to bring
While we have an extensive wardrobe collection to make you look and feel beautiful, here are some essentials to bring for your photoshoot:
Undergarments:
- A pair of nude thong underwear and a black underwear option.
- A
strapless nude bra with cups (recommended for setups using draped fabrics). here is an amazon link to the ones I prefer

- A black bra for versatility
Clothing & Accessories:
- If you are doing pictures with Jeans, bring your favorite non-maternity jeans (great for open-belly shots if applicable).
- Any special pieces you’d like to incorporate—statement jewelry, shoes, heels, your favorite lingerie set, or sentimental accessories.
- If your partner is joining, he should bring:
- Jeans and/or dress pants
- A solid-colored fitted T-shirt and/or a button-down dress shirt
- A blazer jacket for a more dress look
- Shoes
Extras for Comfort & Energy:
- A snack and your favorite drink to stay energized and hydrated. I provide water and snacks at the studio, but it’s always best to bring your own if you have food allergies or preferences.
- Lip balm & lotion to keep your lips and skin moisturized.
- A robe to change in and out of
- Wear loose clothing (tight clothing can leave marks on your skin).
Pre-Photoshoot Guidelines
Beauty Prep:
- Get a
manicure & pedicure 1-2 days before your session (natural or pastel colors photograph best).
I highly recommend

- Wash and blow-dry your hair the night before to eliminate frizz and flyaways—our stylist will handle the rest.
I highly recommend
Betty's Blow Dry Bar in Elmhurst. Mention "Kinda20" for 20% off
- Avoid at home self-tanners, as they can appear uneven in photos. I recommend getting them done professionally. I highly recommend Evolve Beauty Bar in Elmhurst for an even over all glowing tan. Mention "Kinda15" for 15% off for any tan, beauty or skin care services.
- Arrive with a clean, makeup-free face (light moisturizer is okay) so our stylist can give you the royal treatment.
Day of the Shoot:
- Wear loose, comfortable clothing to the studio to prevent marks on your skin.
- Stay hydrated and eat a light meal beforehand so you feel your best.
- Final balance is due via Zelle, Cash or Venmo
- Bring positive energy and trust the process—I'll guide you every step of the way to create stunning images!

I almost said NO to this shoot!
A while back, Serena emailed me with a unique request. She wanted to recreate a photo she had seen. It was an image of a sexy woman sitting in a bathroom, cigarette in hand, smoke swirling around her as she sat in deep thought.
At first, I was ready to reply with a polite, Thank you, but I’m a studio photographer. But something made me pause. Why not?
Some of you might remember when I posted on my story looking for a bathroom with a similar style. Well, that was for this shoot! After searching, we found the perfect space at a town near by. A bathroom with just the right aesthetic and a window positioned to match the lighting.
One challenge? Serena isn’t a smoker, so I had to create the smoke digitally in post-production 🚬. It was a fun creative twist that made the final result even more unique.
When Serena saw the image, she told me it turned out better than she had ever imagined 🥹 and to know I made this mama‘a wish come true, makes me so happy🤍

The 6 to 9-month mark is an ideal time for these moments as your baby’s personality is blossoming, and their connection with the camera is so captivating. At this age, they’re still easy to hold, making for beautifully intimate shots. Of course, this session can be done at any age, as each phase of motherhood offers its own unique and cherished moments to capture 🫶🏼

I am thrilled to share this mommy and me maternity shoot with the gorgeous @anastacoula and her beautiful baby girl. They traveled to Chicago from Florida for her second maternity session with me, and I wanted to create something truly unique to celebrate this moment.
Inspired by the enchanting beauty of Greece 🇬🇷 I created this setup that captures the essence of its iconic whitewashed walls and greenery 🌿giving a feeling that they are in a beautiful village in Greece enjoying the outdoors. The matching bellbottoms @bumpsuit added an extra layer of charm and style to this shoot ✨
